Hazardous Waste items include most paints, paint thinners, cleaners with acid or lye, pesticides or herbicides, brake fluids, anti-freeze, motor oil, oil filters and other petroleum derivatives and solvents, expired pharmaceuticals, home-generated sharps, household batteries and car batteries, pool chemicals, and fluorescent light bulbs are considered hazardous waste. Petroleum derivatives such as motor oil and also solvents are considered hazardous waste. E-Waste includes most televisions, cell phones, computer monitors, keyboards, printers, etc.
State and Federal laws require special handling for these wastes and for proper disposal.
